Biometric Data

The information related to the physical attributes of a person like finger prints, facial features and iris are known as ‘Biometric’ information.

The UIDAI has decided to collect the following pieces of biometric information from the enrolls/Residents:

  • Facial image
  • Iris – both eyes
  • Finger prints of all fingers.

Finger prints are captured in the following sequence:

  1. Left hand four finger slap
  2. Right hand four finger slap
  3. Capture of both the thumbs

    Respected sir,
    we have just received our sister’s Aadhaar card in which her photo is not printed clearly
    and sent to even properly cheking my request to check the misprint of photos and other such
    ignorance in future afterall our GOVT is doing all the best to secure the future of comming generation.

    Respected officials,
    This is to ask the govt.that I am a Dawoodi Bohra and wearing Rida (head covering) is a part of my religion, my identity. While taking photo entire facial features are visible. Our Rida does not become a hindrance. So wjy are wr told to remove it?? This is breach of my religion. My identity.
    Please inform me what shall I do now??? As I refuse to remove my rida while taking photo for Aadhaar..

    Hello,

    This is to bring it to your notice about one of the incidents that happened to our senior citizen in Jamshedpur. The lady has gone to give her biometric data and while giving her Finger prints, her fingers were very roughly and tightly pressed such that her thumb is fractured. She is having a hairline fracture in her thumb now.

    I am requesting you to avoid such incidents and train the staff to behave and act good at least with our country’s senior citizens. While writing this, I couldnt stop myself giving you this information that the staff who took the finger prints (or broke the senior citizen’s finger) didnt even care to apologize for her deed, the least one could expect.

    I had registered for Aadhar in feb.25. till Now I have not received permeanent the Aadhar cards of my I am frolm mysore. Others who got it done just recently have all recd. cards. pl. reply.
